Ray Porter is an American actor and audiobook narrator with more than 500 titles to his name, drawing on 18 seasons of classical theater experience at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He is the definitive voice of Dennis E. Taylor's Bobiverse series and Jack Carr's Terminal List series, and won the 2022 Audie Award for Audiobook of the Year, along with the Science Fiction category award, for his narration of Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary. Porter is also known to screen audiences as Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League, and has appeared in films including Argo and Almost Famous. Director Phil Lord and cast member Ryan Gosling both publicly credited Porter's audiobook performance as a foundation for the 2026 film adaptation of Project Hail Mary.
